One is always in the truck with the rear handle dewalt saw. Easy clearing and almost jam-free, i will shoot a truss nail plate with this thing and not care. It even performs well on lvl and psl stock. No compressor needed just hold the trigger and go. I run a 4 man framing crew operation and these guns fit in great for all-day framing or pick up and go nailing. Quite heavy with a 4ah, but at least it’s cordless. But i am not happy with the dewalt framing nailer. 18g, 16g, 15g trim nailers to name a few and i love them i own every tool dewalt makes and i love my dewalt. Differently worth the money and diffently a 5 star tool from dewalt. Beside the cold weather issue(and where i live weather hardly gets below 40f maybe 40days a year) the gun runs with no problems, also great to not have to drag a compressor around. The only down side is i have noticed the gun sometimes doesn’t fire right in cold weather(below 36f)about 1 out of 20 nails. So far the crew has ran over thousand or more nails thru the gun and works great. I run a production framing crew and purchased this gun for pickup and remolda work. Works great don’t need a air compressor anymore to drag around. Every time someone sees this on a jobsite they ask to try it out and they comment on how awesome it is. Shoots nails hard and sinks them, including ring shanks. Gun is heavy, more than you would think, but don’t let that get in the way of you buying this gun to save you time and money in the long run. Make sure you are already invested in dewalt batteries. Same model with battery available at home depot for 150 less. Almost worth five stars even without it, i’m going to see if i can improvise something, if so, i’m buying another.īuy anywhere but here and save yourself over a hundred dollars.
Only minus imo, is the belt hook is complete garbage. I can use same nails as my hitachi framer, and not have to carry different nails. I’ve built two privacy fences in record time.

I’ve always ran regular hitachi professional nail gun. Great framing nailer with out air hoses limiting your movements. No more lugging around a compressor and hoses, and no need for 120v anymore.

I’ve shot way more than 200 nails over past month. Don’t get me wrong i don’t regret buying this nailer b/c its saved me a lot of hammering. Another problem i had was, unless your directly over where your shooting the nail it doesn’t sink them all the way. One point i must point out this thing is very very heavy, especially if you put a big battery on it. I am very happy with the gun and dewalt service.įirst of all, i like not having to wrestle with a air hose and this tool solves the problem. I would have given this tool 5 stars, but after 5 magazines and light use the gun would not re set the jamb light, i tried every thingi e mails the dewalt service center and they told me to visit my local dewalt repair shop, about 35 minutes away from my house, the service tech reviewed my problem and could not make the gun firethey took the old one and sent by mail a new gun 3 days latter.
